Cookies & browser storage

Last updated: 7 October 2026.

A clear guide to the information this website keeps in your browser.

CAR DRIFT LTD uses functional browser storage to support this website and remember that you have read our notice. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies on the public website. The “Understood” button acknowledges this information; it does not give consent to advertising, analytics or other optional tracking.

Cookies and browser storage

Cookies are small files a website can store in your browser and receive with later requests. Local storage keeps information in your browser between visits. Session storage normally lasts for the current tab’s page session. These technologies have different lifetimes and purposes.

What this website uses

Remembering this notice

Name: car-drift-cookie-notice. Provider: CAR DRIFT LTD. Type: first-party local storage.

When you select “Understood”, we save the notice version and an expiry time in this browser. This stops the notice appearing on every page. It contains no name, contact details, vehicle choices or unique visitor identifier and is not sent to us as a cookie.

The acknowledgement lasts for 180 days. The website checks the expiry when you visit again and removes expired information. A changed notice version can also cause the notice to appear again. Browser local storage does not delete itself on a timer, so an expired record may remain on your device until a later visit or until you clear site data.

WordPress display compatibility

Name: wpEmojiSettingsSupports. Provider: this website’s WordPress software. Type: first-party session storage.

WordPress caches whether your browser can display certain emoji characters. This avoids repeating the same display-compatibility test on each page. It is a functional capability result, not an analytics or advertising identifier. It normally lasts for the current tab’s page session; browsers that restore a session may retain it for that restored session.

Authorised administration

WordPress uses cookies for authorised staff sign-in, login checks and administration preferences. These are associated with accessing the administration or login area, rather than ordinary anonymous browsing. Their duration depends on the cookie, the sign-in option and WordPress settings. Blocking them may prevent staff from signing in or retaining their administration preferences.

Your controls

You can browse the public website without acknowledging the notice. Select “Cookie information” in the footer to reopen it. If an acknowledgement is saved, select “Forget this acknowledgement” to remove that record. This control only removes the notice record; it does not delete enquiries you have submitted or sign you out of WordPress.

You can also clear cookies and site storage, or block them, using your browser settings. These controls may affect other website functions. If your browser does not allow us to save the acknowledgement, “Understood” still closes the notice for the current page, but it may appear again when you navigate or return. With JavaScript disabled, this information remains available and no acknowledgement is saved.

Enquiries, links and technical records

Vehicle comparisons work on the current page; this feature does not save a comparison profile in browser storage. Vehicle filters use page URL parameters. Enquiry records and measures to prevent form misuse are processed on the server, separately from the notice record. Our Privacy notice explains how we handle personal information and technical request records.

If you follow a link to another website, that site’s own cookie and privacy information applies.
